Local Support Teams

There are 10 Local Support Teams in the UK. These teams are partnerships of various organisations, helping communities to devise their own ideas for renewable energy projects. These partnerships involve local councils, energy experts, government bodies, and other specialists.

The Local Support Teams provide advice and training on all the topics associated with renewable energy, including:

feasibility studies
funding
technology issues
planning
environmental assessment
public participation

Local Support Teams are currently established in the following areas:

Shropshire and Herefordshire
Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire
Devon and Cornwall
Northumberland and Durham
East Midlands
CRI East - E Norfolk, E Suffolk, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire
CRI East - Essex
CRI East - Cambridgeshire, W. Norfolk and W. Suffolk
Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire
Surrey, Kent and London Borough of Croydon
